New Sounds of Buzz Video!

Track-By-Track: The Weekend: Friday!

From Alternative Press:
Guitarist MARC STEWART walks us through each song on FOREVER THE SICKEST KIDS'
The Weekend: Friday EP.

Do or Die: "This is a song about two friends fighting over one girl and the better friend realizes it's just a girl and the friendship is worth more. Maybe he thinks the other friend will never get another girl. Who knows?"
Tough Love: "It's about the time in a relationship when you know
you're entering the break-up stages."
She Likes (Bittersweet Love): "This is about a girl who can't make up her mind. She likes one thing, but then she likes the opposite. We have all dated that type of girl,
so it was easy to write about."
Take It Slow: "This one is about trying to take a relationship slow so that you can keep a meaningful bond with your partner."
Hip Hop Chick: "What would happen if FTSK dated hip-hop chicks?"
What Do You Want From Me: "This song is about not listening to everyone around you and just realizing it's about you and not what other people think you should be. We wrote it during a time in our lives when everyone was trying to push us in different ways."

A few sites have posted this article about FTSK & their 3 part album coming up.

Universal Motown Records will release a deluxe version of the debut album from Forever The Sickest Kids entitled, Underdog Alma Mater - Deluxe, today. Since releasing their first full-length album over a year ago, the six-man band from Dallas has been touring the U.S. successfully and building a fan base from the grass roots up. The past year has been a thrilling whirlwind for the band. They could be seen on the cover of Alternative Press, gracing the pages of US Weekly and performing on Conan O’Brien’s late night talk show. They have toured Europe and performed in Japan and even re-recorded their hit single “Whoa-Oh (Me VS. Everyone) with Disney star, Selena Gomez.

Now, FTSK is going to make this next year even more memorable. In a forward thinking move, the band is forgoing the traditional road to making records. Instead of making a full album follow up to Underdog Alma Mater, the band will be releasing three shorter albums of new material. These albums will have six songs on each and will be released over the next year. The first of these will be available this fall with the other two coming in winter and spring of 2010.

Jonathan Cook, Caleb Turman, Marc Stewart, Austin Bello, Kent Garrison, Kyle Burns formed Forever The Sickest Kids in 2006 and within four months, the band had recorded an EP, Television Off, Party On and written many of the songs for their full-length debut, Underdog Alma Mater. Then the band started playing shows, including a three-week stint on the indie stage of the Warped Tour. As rigorous as Warped was, it paid off. Before Warped, Forever the Sickest Kids averaged 10,000 to 12,000 daily plays on their MySpace page. When they got home, the number jumped from between 15,000 and 22,000. The band’s fan base will continues to grow this summer as they embark on Warped Tour once again with dates from July through August.

If you’re a fan of Selena Gomez, you know she can’t stop talking about her favorite band Forever The Sickest Kids. She’s BFF with the band and yesterday we got a chance to hang with the guys in the studio!
The Dallas, TX bred pop rockers, Jonathan Cook (vocals), Austin Bello (bass), Kyle Burns (drums), Kent Garrison (keys), Marc Stewart (guitar) and Caleb Turman (guitar) are everything Selena says they are, sweet, fun and totally talented! We sat in on a super exclusive listening party where we saw first hand how the guys fine-tune each song. Their new album is going to blow you away…it’s amazing! The guys spilled on their tight bond with Selena, their most embarrassing stage moments, what they look for in a girl and how you can catch their eye onstage! Jonathan even spilled a secret no one knows about the band! Check it out below! For more on Forever The Sickest Kids, check out their official website: foreverthesickestkids.com.
